Geemarc Phones

Geemarc are one of the leading makers of phones for the hard of hearing. Below is a small selection of their range of phones.

Geemarc Clearsound CL8200 Mobile Phone

Geemarc have developed the CL8200 gsm mobile phone for people with hearing loss, poor eyesight and/or problems with dexterity. Its design is sleek and modern looking and not too clunky looking.

This mobile phone has all the normal features you'd expect including SMS, speakerphone, phonebook, backlit keypad and display. The battery times are up to 180 hours standby time and up to 150 hours talk time.

For those who are suffering from loss of hearing the ringer is loud (100dB) and it has a vibrating alert for incoming calls. The handset and speakerphone volume is adjustable and this mobile phone is hearing aid compatible.

Geemarc CL210A Amplified Big Button Telephone with Answering Machine

Now the highly popular Geemarc CL210 comes with a built in answering machine. A long with this, the amplified sound quality of the phone has also been further improved. This is an ideal corded phone for those who are getting older with big high contrast buttons for ease of use and a straightforward layout.

For the hard of hearing the phone has a very large, bright visual ringer indicator. The ringer itself can be set louder than normal phones (70dB) and the amplification is adjustable, as is the tone, to suit a range of hearing abilities. You can also record conversations so that you can listen to them again, useful if you think you may not have heard everything during the initial call.

Geemarc AmpliPower 50 - Amplified Telephone

This phone is ideal for those who suffer from more severe hearing loss with an extremely loud maximum volume of 141dB. The volume is, of course adjustable to much lower levels. The tone is also adjustable to suit individual preferences.

The phone has a bright strobe visual ringer flasher, is hearing aid compatible and can be used hands free. There is a jack socket so that a vibrating pad can be attached (this is available separately).

Geemarc BDP400 Telephone For The Visually Impaired

Unfortunately as we get older hearing loss is often accompanied by visual impairment. This phone is designed to be used by those who may have both. It has a large display with extra large characters for those with low vision and the large buttons are particularly tactile. For those with no sight the BDP400 allows you to hear the command of every button you press, as well as hear the name of the caller or number calling you.

For those with hearing problems the phone also has a loud ring with a very bright strobe ringer flasher. The amplification and tone are adjustable. The phone is also hearing aid compatible.

Geemarc AmpliDect 230 Amplified Cordless Telephone

For those of you looking for a cordless phone suitable for moderate hearing loss then this is ideal. It also has the advantage of having a built in answering machine. The ring tone volume and tone are adjustable with slider controls and can be used hands free. The handset can also be amplified as well as the base unit.
